The 2017 Nissan GT-R is offered in Premium, Track Edition and a NISMO version. The Premium and Track Edition are powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6, which makes 545 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The NISMO uses the same V6, though it is tuned to produce 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. In all models, power is put to all four wheels with a performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission handles the shifting. When desired, full sequential manual shifting can be controlled by the steering wheel mounted shift paddles.
With the GT-R's 545 horsepower, the dash to 60 mph takes just under three seconds, and top speed is a claimed 200 mph. Brakes are strong enough for secure stops from triple-digit speeds, and handling is enhanced by the variable-power-split all-wheel drive system.
